- How can I tell how many hours I've been online this month?
Go to
Manage Your Account, enter your username and password and then click on "View your usage report".
- How can I make changes to my account?
To change things like your credit card information, billing address or telephone number, go to
Manage Your Account, enter your username and password and then click on the appropriate option.
- Does Iserv disconnect dialup users after a certain length of time?
Iserv disconnects dialup customers after 16 hours of continuous connect time or after 15 minutes of idle time. So, if you've been using your Iserv Internet connection for 16 hours in a row or if you leave your Internet connection unused for more than 15 minutes, your connection will be reset.
If you are getting "bumped off," the culprit is probably your modem or telephone line:
- Modems with outdated drivers and firmware are the most common cause. Updating your driver and firmware is especially important if you have a Winmodem, HCF, HSF or Soft modem. Drivers and firmware can often be downloaded from the computer or modem manufacturer's website.
- A noisy phone line is another common cause. Any noise on a phone line will dramatically reduce the speed and reliability of your connection - to the point where little or no information is exchanged. If you hear static, clicks or any other noise while talking on the phone, you should contact your local phone company and have them run a test.
